Now that the pandemic is waning, many of you will be visiting your favorite sandy haunts. Whether you plan to sun yourself on St. Simons or hop over to Hilton Head, here are a few suggestions to tuck into your tote.
"Reunion Beach: Stories Inspired by Dorothea Benton Frank" is a compilation of stories written in tribute to the late author.
Hard to believe that another summer will go by without a Dorothea Benton Frank novel. The bestselling author of Southern beach novels died late in 2019, and her witty and heart-warming fiction has been fervently missed. As a tribute, some of her author friends teamed up for a collaboration called “Reunion Beach: Stories Inspired by Dorothea Benton Frank.” Luminaries such as Elin Hilderbrand, Adriana Trigiani, Patti Callahan and more share short stories, poems and essays in a celebration of “Dottie” Frank’s life and literary legacy. “Reunion Beach” is a poignant must-read for anyone who has spent a summer afternoon under the spell of Frank’s immersive storytelling.
