Welcome to the second SPARK Writing Festival. This event is an initiative by the UAB English Department to foster community and create a fun learning environment for writers of all experience levels.
This year we’re going Beyond the Page
2020 presented a whole host of challenges to the writing life and too often we treat writing as if it were an encapsulated event. It’s really not though. We bring our hobbies and interests to our writing and can use those to break out of writer’s block. Meanwhile, writing gives us the time and space to reflect on these hobbies and interests and while granting them fuller and richer meaning.
Let’s SPARK something new together!
When: January 10-16, 2021
Cost: FREE!
Where: All-virtual through Zoom. One registration gets you an “all-access” Zoom link reusable for all events. Can’t make it to an event? No worries! We’ll record each session and will post it to the SPARK website shortly after. You can register at any time, but Zoom links will be distributed via email on January 9th.
