Happening: New literary series at the Riviera Theater

The Charleston Place and Buxton Books have started a new literary series. During the year, the series will feature special events, book signings and meetings with bestselling authors at the Riviera Theater, 227 King St.
The first event was Jan. 20, featuring author Grady Hendrix.
The Charleston Place & Buxton Books Literary Series continues on May 1 with “Friends and Fiction Live: Patti Callahan Henry’s ‘The Secret Book of Flora Lea.’”
During this event, guests will meet New York Times bestselling authors and “Friends & Fiction” members, Patti Callahan Henry, Mary Kay Andrews, Kristin Harmel, and Kristy Woodson Harvey on the occasion of the launch of Patti’s new book. The hosts also will share insights about their own work, answer questions, sign books, and mingle with attendees. Tickets for this event range from $55 to $100 and can be purchased at www.charlestonplace.com/experiences.
